Bailey Kennedy Gives Two Families a Happy Christmas

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 2022) For twelve years, Bailey Kennedy, LLP has participated in the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada’s “Adopt a Family” program. Starting with the Thanksgiving holiday, Bailey Kennedy employees search online and out in-stores to select the best gifts according to the needs and requests of the two adopted families. Staff then wrap the gifts that would later be presented to the families.

The “Adopt a Family” program was created in hopes of assisting families whose child have been diagnosed with cancer to help alleviate both financial and emotional stress that the holiday season may bring to a family. Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada is a non-profit agency that has been providing support and services for families of children diagnosed with cancer for over 40 years. Candlelighters serve approximately 400 families and 1,800 children, both siblings and diagnosed children throughout the year in Nevada. Children from birth to 21 years of age who have been diagnosed or survived cancer are eligible for services if treated or living in Nevada. Starting with the Thanksgiving holiday, Bailey Kennedy employees went both online and ventured out to stores again to select the perfect gifts for the two adopted families according to their requests and needs. Staff then wrapped the gifts throughout the season until they were presented to the families.

Nothing Stops Bailey Kennedy’s Commitment to Giving Back During The Holidays

While online shopping was the order of the day, the firm’s employees did not lose that holiday spirit and their desire to help those less fortunate than themselves. Gift wrapping was handled in a socially distanced space in shifts with only a couple of people participating at any given time.

Law Firm donates over a hundred gifts to families affected by childhood cancer

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 2019) For the ninth consecutive year, the Bailey Kennedy law firm supported the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada by participating in its “Adopt a Family” program. Beginning right after Thanksgiving, employees of the Firm shopped for the two adopted families with an eye toward what each individual family member needed, wanted, or requested.  Firm employees bought and expertly gift-wrapped each purchase in what at times resembled an HGTV holiday special.
